When it comes to television celebs, it’s hair today, gone tomorrow.
That, at least, is the view of TV Guide, which studied the effect of hairstyles on the popularity of various tube-oriented individuals.
“Einstein was always looking for a unifying principle for the universe,” says Diane Sawyer. “I think anxiety about hair is the unifying principle.”
The flip side is true, too, reports Barbara Walters. “I feel that if your hair looks good,” she says, “you can get away with almost anything else.”
And hair consciousness holds true even for four-legged stars, says the hairdresser for “Frasier” pooch Eddie.
“He’s very low maintenance,” says Larraine Putnam. His only hair problem, she said, is that “he really likes to roll around in the dirt.”
