Man Wrestles With Attacker In Alley

Police are looking for a gunman who knocked a man unconscious and fired a shot Wednesday in downtown Spokane.

The victim told police he was getting into his truck in an alley of the 200 block of South Washington shortly after 2 p.m. when a man stuck a handgun in his back and demanded money.

The two wrestled for a moment and the victim was knocked unconscious. During the struggle, the gun went off, police said.

The would-be robber, who may have been wounded, is described as a black man between 25 and 35, about 6-feet-2 and 200 pounds. He wore a gray sweatshirt and black stocking cap.
