Man Uses Bomb Threat To Rob Bank

Associated Press

A man who said he had a bomb robbed Mountain West Bank in Helena about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, police said.

Capt. Troy McGee said the man left a package supposedly containing the bomb on a counter.

The FBI and agents of the federal Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms Division were determining what to do with the package.

McGee would not say how much money the man was given.

He said the robber hid his face with dark glasses and a scarf. He was white and wore a light brown car coat and appeared to be 6 feet to 6 feet, 2 inches tall and weighed about 200 pounds, McGee said.
