After deliberating 4 hours over two days, a King County Superior Court jury on Wednesday acquitted former Seattle Mariners and Spokane Indians pitcher Bob Stoddard of three counts of child molestation involving a teenage girl. Stoddard, 37, embraced his wife, Kathi, and his attorney, Anne Bremner, after the verdict was read. The girl was not in court.

Margaret Wade, the first woman inducted in the Basketball Hall of Fame and a former coach, died Thursday in Cleveland, Miss. She was 82.

Her teams at Delta State won three national championships while she was head coach from 1973-79.
