Spokane County commissioners are accepting applications for the Airport Board and the planning commission.

The Airport Board appointment would be for a three-year term. The five-member board meets monthly and oversees operations and management at Spokane International Airport, Geiger Field and the airport’s industrial park.

For more information contact Nancy Duncalfe, 455-6444.

The planning commission appointment is for a person living in commissioner District 2, which includes the Spokane Valley and the South Hill east of Division. The nine-member board advises county commissioners on growth and development issues and acts as a hearing body on subdivision and rezone requests.

For more information, contact the county planning department, 456-2205.

Persons interested in either appointment should submit a letter and resume to commissioners, or fill out an application form, which can be obtained by calling 456-2265. Applications for both positions are due by Jan. 16.
