Teen Shoots Friend In Russian Roulette
A teenager fatally shot a friend early Saturday during a three-way game of Russian roulette, a prosecutor said.
Mark Mendonca, 18, shot Michael Vieira in the chest, then hid the .38-caliber revolver used in the game, said Martin Murphy, an assistant district attorney.
Mendonca, Vieira, also 18, and a juvenile, who was not identified or charged, had been playing the game around a kitchen table when the shot was fired, authorities said.
Mendonca supplied the revolver. Investigators later found a revolver in his car, police said.
Mendonca faces arraignment Monday on charges of manslaughter and illegal possession of a firearm.
