Man Buys Snack, Then Robs Store

A man robbed the Jim Dandy’s Donuts in downtown Spokane Saturday afternoon after forcing a clerk against a wall, according to a police report.

About 1:15 p.m., the man bought two doughnuts and a carton of milk at the store. He then went to the bathroom, kicked in an employee door and demanded money from the clerk, police said. He also shoved her against the wall and ripped out the phone cord.

The clerk was not injured.

The man ran to a black Dodge Diplomat and drove east on Third Avenue. He is described as black, about 30, and between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall. He wore a blue jacket, blue jeans and an earring in his left ear, police said.
