Redskins Owner Cooke, 82, To Remarry Ex-Wife, 42
Washington Redskins owner Jack Kent Cooke applied Thursday for a marriage license to remarry his fourth wife.
According to the application from the Frederick County clerk’s office, Cooke, 82, plans to marry Marlena Lenore Victoria Ramallo, 42, of Bolivia.
It would be the fifth time Cooke has participated in a marriage ceremony.
The couple’s 1990 marriage was annulled in March 1994 on the grounds that Ramallo’s last divorce was invalid. The marriage would be her third.
Following their breakup, Cooke had sued Ramallo for the return of $600,000 in jewelry he had given her. The matter was settled later, though the terms were never revealed. The Washington Post reported that Ramallo was able to keep a $250,000 dowry Cooke had given her before the marriage.
Neither Cooke nor Ramallo could be reached Thursday night for comment.
A Virginia marriage application is good for 60 days.
