Correction
The Tom’s Barber Shop player pictured in Thursday’s Voice was misidentified. It was Ben Schmitt who swung at the ball during a game against victorious Les Schwab in a Pee Wee League first-place showdown.
As it turned out, following games two days later, Schmitt’s team finished in a three-way tie for the American Division championship, along with Spokane Indians (McDonald Elementary) and Valley Electric (Sunrise). Les Schwab tied for fourth, one game behind.
