Prairie Splits Pair At Legion Tournament
Ryan Novak hit his fourth home run of the season, a two-run shot in the fourth inning, as the Prairie Cardinals defeated Twin Falls, Idaho, 12-3 Saturday at the Scott Klaudt Memorial American Legion baseball tournament at Missoula.
Prairie completed the day with an 11-1 loss to the host team. The Cardinals, 2-2 at the tourney, must defeat Richland, Wash., today to have a shot at the title game.
Against Twin Falls, Novak went 2 for 2 with four RBIs and three runs scored. Kevin Bridge was 2 for 3 with two runs scored to support Prairie starter Brad Medlock (1-3), who allowed five hits and struck out four in six innings.
