Sfcu Blazes To Title Game At Summer Heat

Following a pair of easy wins on Saturday, Spokane Federal Credit Union automatically qualified for this afternoon’s championship game at the Summer Heat American Legion baseball tournament at Moses Lake and Ephrata, Wash.

SFCU plays a Wenatchee team this morning as a tuneup.

SFCU opened with a five-inning, 12-0 win over Redmond, Wash., as Tucker Urdahl went 3 for 3 and had two runs batted in. Relief pitcher and winner Bill Graffis allowed only Robert Terrell’s single in the third.

Brian Maley had a three-run homer in the first as SFCU ended the day with a five-inning 10-0 win over Ephrata. Tyson Deal allowed two singles and struck out three.
