Lds Leader’s Funeral To Be Shown

The funeral for Howard Hunter, president of The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints, will be broadcast live today at several locations.

Hunter, who died Thursday, had been president of the church for nine months.

Several of Hunter’s counselors will speak at the funeral, which will be held at the Salt Lake Tabernacle. Hunter’s first counselor and successor, Gordon Hinckley, Second Counselor Thomas Monson and Boyd Packer, acting president of the Twelve Apostles and Elder James Faust will offer tributes.

The funeral will begin at 11 a.m. It can be watched via a live satellite feed, at the Stake Centers, including 13608 E. 40th Ave., 401 W. Regina Ave. and 1620 E. 29th Ave. in Spokane.
