City Agrees To Settle In Dahmer Suit

Associated Press

The city tentatively agreed to pay $850,000 to the family of one of Jeffrey Dahmer’s victims, a teenager who was returned to the serial killer by police after being found dazed, naked and bleeding.

Trial was to begin Tuesday on the lawsuit by the family of 14-year-old Konerak Sinthasomphone.

They charged that racism prompted two police officers to return the Laotian boy to Dahmer’s apartment after Dahmer convinced them the boy was his drunken lover. The boy was killed the same night.

Dahmer admitted killing 17 young men and boys. He was killed in prison in November.
