Body Found Floating In North Idaho Creek

From Staff And Wire Reports

Kootenai County sheriff’s deputies recovered the body of an adult male from Wolf Lodge Creek, seven miles east of Coeur d’Alene, on Sunday.

Allan Gibson said he was walking by the creek when he saw a body, floating face-down, caught in brush along the side of the creek.

“He’d been in there awhile,” said Gibson, who owns the nearby Wolf Lodge Campground.

Sheriff’s Capt. Ben Wolfinger said investigators hope to identify the body today. An autopsy will be scheduled early in the week, Wolfinger said.

Gibson said the man appeared to be 25 to 35 years old and was wearing a black shirt and brown pants.
