Shelby Chairs Inland Northwest Bank

William Shelby will replace William Griffith as chairman of Inland Northwest Bank.

Shelby has been a member of the bank’s board as well as vice president of U.R.M. Stores Inc., the Spokane-based grocery wholesaler.

He was elected to his new post at a May 12 meeting of Inland’s directors.

Griffith is the former president of Hecla Mining Co., which is based in Coeur d’Alene. The company operates the Lucky Friday Mine at Mullan.

He has been chairman of Inland’s board since the bank’s organization in 1989, and will remain a member for another year.

He also retains his position as chairman of Inland Northwest Bancorporation, a holding company formed in 1992.
