Last Year’s Tournament Teams Back On The Road To Success

The season began successfully Tuesday for three teams that made a splash at last year’s State B Tournament.

Tekoa-Oakesdale, St. John-Endicott and Wilbur-Creston picked right up where they left off last March.

At Tekoa, Jennifer Hay scored 20 and had seven of the Nighthawks’ 18 first-half steals as host T-O toppled the Scotties.

Sally Palmer had 12 rebounds, seven on the offensive end, for T-O, last year’s state runner-up.

SJE, fourth among the B’s last year, forced 31 turnovers. Lisa Bocook made a pair of 3-pointers as Reardan attempted to rally in the second half.
