Chad Macdonald Earns Eagle Scout Award
Chad MacDonald, a member of Boy Scout Troop 424 in the Spokane Valley, recently received his Eagle Scout award.
His Eagle project was to help paint residence numbers on curbs to assist emergency services locate addresses.
MacDonald, who graduated last spring as valedictorian from University High School, received four scholarships and is in the engineering program at the University of Idaho.
He is the son of Robert and Sonja MacDonald.

Lauren Evans, a junior at Rogers High School, will attend the National Young Leaders Conference in Washington D.C. next month.
Evans was selected as one of 350 national scholars to attend the conference sponsored by the Congressional Youth Leadership Council, a non-profit, non-partisan educational organization.
Jack Aronson was elected president of the Spokane Lilac Festival Association’s 1995-96 festival season.

Brent Hookom, Spokane, graduated from the commercial drivers program of Diver’s Institute of Technology, Inc. (DIT) in Seattle. Hookom will be trained in underwater welding, photography, Haz-Mat and other underwater construction/inspection skill areas.
