Chewelah Rolls, Clinches Title

Junior Cody Katzer capped the second quarter with two touchdown runs, then returned the second-half kickoff for a TD Friday as third-ranked Chewelah (6-0, 8-0) clinched the Northeast A title with a 42-0 rout of visiting Kettle Falls (0-6, 1-7).

Chewelah advances to the State A playoffs against the Yakima Valley League’s No. 4 team.

Katzer didn’t play in the first quarter, rushed for 61 yards on four carries in the second quarter and left the game after the second-half kickoff return.
