Washington Man Pleads Guilty To Homicide
A Washington state man has pleaded guilty to stabbing another man to death at a hobo camp in a railroad yard near Whitefish.
Michael Shannon, 40, pleaded guilty Thursday to mitigated deliberate homicide. He said he was defending himself when he stabbed Mark Perry, 38, Milpitas, Calif., last May.
Shannon reported the stabbing to police, and was treated at a local hospital with scrapes on his leg. An autopsy showed Perry was stabbed nine times.
Sentencing is set for Dec. 7.
