Council Circulates Lake Roosevelt Plan

Fish and clean water are on the agenda during an ongoing series of public meetings about Lake Roosevelt.

The Lake Roosevelt Water Quality Council is floating the first draft of its management plan for the lake, which lies behind Coulee Dam on the Columbia River.

Upcoming meetings include: 7 p.m. Tuesday , Wilbur Community Center; 7 p.m. Sept. 27, Curlew Presbyterian Church; 7 p.m. Oct. 9, Northport High School; and, on Oct. 12, 4 p.m. at Hunters High School and 7 p.m. at Inchelium’s Longhorn Restaurant.

Recreation, education and development are among many issues addressed in the plan.
