Teen Again Attacked With Knife

Associated Press

An 18-year-old woman has been assaulted here for the second time in a year by a knife-wielding stranger, police said Friday.

The woman was attacked Wednesday in the parking lot of an athletic club by a man she’d noticed tying his shoe by the car parked next to hers.

As she unlocked her car, he grabbed her by her ponytail and said, “Hi again,” as he pushed her head against the car, causing a 2-inch cut above her right eyebrow. He then made a 3-inch cut in her neck.

The young woman kicked him and fled, collapsing nearby. Passers-by who came to her aid reported that she said, “Why did he do this again?” Authorities said the woman was stabbed in the stomach in September as she jogged at an area junior high school.

It is possible the same man committed both attacks, police said, but very little is known about the assailant in either case. Both attacks involved a black man, police said.
