Police Seize Marijuana Plants, Arrest Two Men On Drug Charges

From Staff And Wire Reports

Spokane police busted an alleged marijuana growing operation, confiscating a “large quantity” of the drug and arresting two Spokane men.

Police on Thursday obtained warrants and searched homes at 3407 E. Jackson and 2603 E. Marshall, said police spokesman Dick Cottam. At the first address, police found three basement rooms equipped with grow lights and timers. One of the rooms had marijuana plants growing inside, said Cottam. Officers also found a freezer containing marijuana.

Cottam said police are not disclosing the exact amount of confiscated marijuana.

No drugs were found at the second address, but that’s where police arrested Arnold R. Wagner and Dean A. Watson, both 39. They are charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and manufacture of a controlled substance.

Wagner owned the home where the drugs were seized and Watson lived there, Cottam said.

Police have been watching the house on Jackson and saw Wagner visit the place several times, both alone and with Watson. , DataTimes
