Loon Lake Woman Dies In Head-On Crash

From Staff And Wire Reports

A 32-year-old Loon Lake woman died Saturday evening in a three-car accident north of Spokane.

Cindy S. Severson was found dead at the scene on state Highway 395 one mile south of Loon Lake.

Shortly before 9 p.m., Severson was driving southbound when she crossed the highway’s center lane, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Her car sideswiped a truck driving north and then slammed head-on into a Honda Accord.

Linda J. Palmer, 42, of Spokane was driving the Honda. She suffered a punctured lung and a lacerated liver, the state patrol said.

Her passenger, Cathy A. Scalice, 44, of Otis Orchards suffered broken ribs and a broken sternum, according to the state patrol.

Both were listed in stable condition at Holy Family Hospital on Sunday.

Scalice and Palmer were wearing seat belts. Severson wasn’t, the state patrol said. , DataTimes
