Clerk, Customer Robbed Of Dollars, Doughnuts

From Staff And Wire Reports

A man robbed a clerk and customer at a south Spokane grocery store Monday, making off with money and doughnuts.

Witnesses told police the bandit walked into the Excell Food Store, S. 817 Perry, about 10 p.m. and pulled out a handgun.

He demanded that the clerk and the lone customer lie on the floor. He then took some money from the register, stuffed it into the customer’s bag and ran away. The bag contained the doughnuts.

The victims said the robber is a white man in his 20s or 30s, between 5 feet 9 inches and 6 feet tall and 170 pounds. He has curly, collar-length, dirty blond hair and a thin mustache.

He was last seen wearing a blue stocking cap, a gray and blue flannel shirt, blue jeans and black work boots.
