Greenberg Offers Apology
Long Beach State basketball coach Seth Greenberg apologized to two New Mexico State students who claimed he slandered them and violated their civil rights by having security officers remove them from a game between the two schools.
Greenberg had complained to game officials that students sitting near the Long Beach bench directed racial slurs at his players. The coach identified Charles Sallee and Craig Sullivan as the students involved.
“I apologize to both of you for this unfortunate mistaken identification,” Greenberg wrote in a letter to the students.
