Valley Licensing Agency Moves Into New Quarters

For the past 13 years, Linda Klein and her employees have sold automobile license tabs and boat registrations in obscurity.

No more.

On Monday, Klein moved her Spokane Valley Licensing Agency from a cramped, hard-to-find office in the rear of a building at 10002 E. Sprague into bigger and better accommodations.

Valley residents who want to renew their car registrations now will find Klein’s agency in the Behm Center, 9405 E. Sprague.

Klein, whose lease was coming due at the old location, said she jumped at the chance to move.

“It’s a much better place,” said Klein, who’s owned the licensing business for 13 years.

The agency’s new office has 1,400 square feet of space. The old office had 800.

Klein said the new location also is more visible. It’s adjacent to Sprague, she said, and a new sign advertising the business should be erected before the week is out.

Even people who frequented the old location near the Appleway Subaru dealership sometimes drove by it, she said.

Klein contracts with the state of Washington and Spokane County to sell automobile and boat licenses, and to process registrations and titles.

She also sells Idaho boat licenses.

The agency’s hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.
