Three Men Rob Florist Of 200 Roses

Compiled From Wire Services

Call it a crime of passion.

Three men ran off with 200 long-stemmed roses Wednesday. They even took the vase, police said.

The men asked a florist in Rome to prepare the $1,200 bouquet as a Valentine’s Day gift. When the order was ready, one of them produced a knife instead of his wallet. The others grabbed the flowers and the trio fled.

“Maybe they were just romantic robbers,” the florist said.
