Police Arrest Teen After High-Speed Chase

A teenager driving a stolen BMW was arrested Friday after leading police on a high-speed chase that began west of Ritzville and ended in Post Falls.

Authorities arrested the 15-year-old boy who was driving the stolen California car, the Washington State Patrol said.

With speeds topping 100 mph, troopers began pursuing the car west of Ritzville on Interstate 90 at 6:40 p.m., then followed it east through Spokane and into Idaho until the chase ended at 7:50 p.m.

At the Havana interchange, the car blew a tire but the driver continued to Post Falls on only three tires before stopping, the state patrol said.
