Indians’ Mccullough Resigns As Football Coach; Bushinski Leaves After Leading Nc To Volleyball Title

North Central football coach Jerry McCullough has resigned.

McCullough maintained his dignity and the respect of his colleagues despite mounting pressure from NC alumni.

His 10-year record was 22-66, including 1-8 last year. He came to Spokane after 14 years and a 66-48 record in three stops in Montana.

McCullough chose to slip into the sunset.

NC officials said the job opening would be posted throughout the West next month and hoped a successor could be named by mid-April.

NC also lost a volleyball coach with Linda Bushinski resigning shortly after the Indians won the State AAA championship.

It was only the fourth team title in school history, the first in a girls sport.

Bushinski, who did not have a full-time teaching position at the school, reportedly resigned to work on her master’s degree.
