Happy Face Killer Sent To Oregon

Associated Press

A judge has ordered the man known as the Happy Face Killer to Oregon to begin serving life prison terms for the murders of two women.

Keith Jesperson, 40, has been in the Clark County Jail since March, when he was arrested in the slaying of a Camas woman.

Superior Judge Robert Harris also ordered Jesperson to give any profits he makes from telling his story to the families of his victims.

An Oregon law also prohibits criminals from profiting from selling the stories of their crimes.

A former long-haul truck driver, Jesperson claims to have killed eight women in five states. Plea bargains in the two Oregon cases and the one in Washington have each resulted in life sentences with 30-year minimums.
