Prince: Saudi King’s Health Improving

Associated Press

Crown Prince Abdullah told advisers Saturday that the health of his half-brother, King Fahd, is improving.

Information about the monarch’s condition has been sketchy since he was hospitalized for a week in early November. U.S. officials said he suffered a stroke and a team of American specialists was flown to Riyadh to treat him.

At the start of the year, the king, who is in his 70s and has a history of health problems, put the prince in charge of the country while he recuperates.
