Larson’s 28 Lifts Falls Christian

Forward Ben Larson erupted for 28 points, as Falls Christian snuck past Kootenai 64-63 in a North Star League boys’ basketball game on Tuesday night at Harrison.

Larson knocked down 6-of-7 3-point field-goal attempts, including his last with 15 seconds remaining to give the Eagles a 64-61 lead.

Paul Dionne’s layup for Kootenai at 3 seconds provided the final margin.

Game-high scoring honors, however, belonged to Warriors’ guard Joe Lamb with 34 points, including 6 of 9 from 3-point distance.

Defense, along with 33 points from guard Darin Bradbury, sparked the host Spartans past the Miners.

Wallace shot just 9 of 46 (19.5 percent) from the field.

Bradbury’s effort included five 3-point field goals.

Ryan Nipp’s 11 points led the Miners.

Priest River (0-3, 2-10) resumes Intermountain League play on Friday when Kellogg (2-1, 8-2) visits. Wallace (4-9) is at Potlatch that same night.
