Film Crews To Close Silver Valley Roads

Film crews will close several Silver Valley roads this week to shoot scenes for an action movie.

Cedar Street, a main street through downtown Wallace, will be closed between Fifth and Sixth streets today through early August. Workers are building wire mesh forms to cover with fake volcanic ash.

Larson Road in Mullan will be closed today and Tuesday from Shoshone Park Road on. One lane will remain open for through traffic.

Wednesday through Saturday, crews expect to film scenes near Enaville, on the North Fork of the Coeur d’Alene River. There will likely be road and bridge closures.

Universal Pictures is filming “Dante’s Peak,” starring Pierce Brosnan and Linda Hamilton.
