Prince Andrew Will Visit Seattle, Tour Navy Bases, Boeing

Prince Andrew is scheduled to arrive in Seattle on Sunday for a three-day visit to tour Navy bases at Bangor and Whidbey Island, Boeing facilities in Everett and Seattle and a dinner to promote British and U.S. business relationships.

The trip is Andrew’s first to Seattle, said Sabina Koziel, a management officer for the British Consulate here.

He is scheduled to spend Monday morning at the Trident submarine base at Bangor and Monday afternoon at Whidbey Island Naval Air Station. Andrew, 36, is an officer in England’s Royal Navy and a senior helicopter pilot, although he plans to quit the navy by 1999 to embark on a new career.
