A Spokane woman died Friday after driving across the center line on U.S. Highway 395 and striking an oncoming truck.

Glenda A. Oien, 56, was headed southbound on U.S. 395 a half-mile south of Hatch Road about 3:10 p.m. when she crossed the line and struck the northbound truck, the Washington State Patrol reported.

Oien was taken by helicopter to Deaconess Medical Center, where she died, a nursing supervisor said. The driver of the GMC flatbed, Howard H. Lenius, 66, of Spokane, was released after treatment at Holy Family Hospital, a nursing supervisor said.
