Blood Donors Needed For Holiday Weekend

Blood donors are needed throughout next week to maintain adequate supplies during the long Fourth of July weekend, medical officials said Wednesday.

North Idaho donors can give blood at the Silver Lake Mall on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. All blood types are needed. Donors will get a “Summer Blood Drive” T-shirt. Please call 667-5461 to schedule a time. Platelet donors should call (800) 423-0151.

Some blood products, such as platelets, are good for only five days.
