Trucker Drives Into Side Of Moving Train

From Staff Reports

A semi truck slid into the side of a train in Post Falls on Friday morning.

No one was injured in the collision that happened at 8:30 a.m. near the intersection of Potlach and Seltice.

Thomas Duman, 40, of Lewiston, was driving his truck north on Potlatch Road, said Post Falls Police Officer Pat Knight.

Duman told the officer he was not able to see the train coming because a building was blocking his view.

“He said it was too late when he finally saw the train,” Knight said.

The truck slid on the icy road and hit the eastbound train.

Duman was cited for driving too fast for conditions, Knight said.
