Just Imagine James Dean Playing George’s Father
If you’re a “Seinfeld” fan, you may be familiar with Eizabeth Sheridan, the actress who plays star Jerry Seinfeld’s mother.
Seems the woman has a colorful past.
In Donald Spoto’s new biography of the late actor James Dean, Sheridan talks about the heated affair she had with Dean. The twist is that she was consorting with him while he was being supported, financially and emotionally, by a man.

So why won’t Shania Twain tour this year? Because, says the Canadian country singer, “I like to think I’m playing it smart.” The point, she says, is that “I want my career to last. I don’t want to get out there and give everything at once, just try to get all the money I can. And then everybody would be fed up with seeing me on TV, hearing me on the radio and seeing me twice in concert in the same year.”

If you’re wondering about whether to pick up a copy of Joan Lunden’s forthcoming book “Joan Lunden’s Healthy Cooking,” you should be aware that the ABC morning show co-host ostensibly used those same recipes to drop 50 pounds.

“Clueless” director Amy Heckerling is hardly a literary snob, even if she did admit to Vanity Fair magazine she’s now reading Jane Austen’s novel “Sense and Sensibility.” “Such a bitchin’ movie, figured it would be a good book,” she said.
