She May Dine On Lobster, But She Can’t Eat A Seal
Paula Zahn is tough, but she’s not near tough enough to be a SEAL.
The co-host of “CBS This Morning” became the first woman to train with the elite Navy commando unit, and she seemed to have at least some credentials to do so.
She runs 40 miles a week, and she was a champion swimmer in college. It was the upper-body stuff that did her in.
“I did fine in the running and swimming, but I’m still working on one pull-up,” says Zahn, a 40 year-old mother of two. Most of the male recruits did 30 pull-ups.
Zahn did perform 37 of the 50 required push-ups, and she believes other women could do even better. “I didn’t feel wimpy,” she says. “I’m convinced we have elite female athletes that can make it through a SEALS program.”
