The Wallace Elks Club recently honored the following Silver Valley youths at their Student Awards Banquet last month:

Eric Bakie, a senior at Lake City High School, was recently chosen as the Student of the Month for April by the Coeur d’Alene Rotary Club.
Bakie, who plans to attend the University of Idaho as an electrical engineer major, maintains a grade-point average of 3.93. He has completed honors physics, microcomputers, English, government, economics, calculus, and sociology this year and is a member of the I.N.E.L. Scholastic Team and the Renaissance Program.
He has worked at Tomato Bros. Restaurant for two years and was named the Employee of the Month in 1994.
