Nc Hires New Football Coach

(From Replay, Wednesday, May 8, 1996): Wes Hobbs, who was named the North Central football coach on Monday, was not the head coach at Moses Lake last season. Hobbs was head coach at Moses Lake for five years, through the 1994 season, but did not coach last year.

Moses Lake High School head coach Wes Hobbs was hired as head football coach at North Central High School, the school announced Monday.

Hobbs replaces Jerry McCullough, who resigned after coaching the Indians for 10 years.

“I’m very excited to be a member of the North Central faculty and look forward to competition in the GSL,” Hobbs said.

Hobbs’ was an assistant coach at Pullman High School from 1984-86 and offensive coordinator at Sumner High School from 1987-89 before taking over the Moses Lake job in 1990.
