Reynolds Finds A New Niche
After dominating in box office popularity in the 1970s and enjoying a successful second run as a TV series star in the early 1990s, Burt Reynolds is starting to stake out a niche as a villain in direct-to-video movies.
The actor’s latest, “The Maddening,” is finally being released on June 18 by Vidmark. Reynolds plays a deranged father in the psychological thriller that also stars Angie Dickinson.
Reynolds finished shooting last month on another production, “Raven,” in which he plays a bad guy - a government assassin.
