Murder Victim Shot, Police Say

From Staff And Wire Reports

A man found dead in his east Spokane apartment Tuesday had been shot, police report.

An autopsy showed Larry W. Boulger, 38, died of a single gunshot wound, police spokesman Dick Cottam said Wednesday.

Friends and relatives discovered Boulger, a convicted felon with a long criminal record, on a bloodstained couch in the apartment at 222 S. Lacey about 7:15 a.m.

They said he had a small wound near his sternum.

Police have no leads in the murder, Lt. Jerry Oien said. “We’re just up against a brick wall right now,” he said.

Relatives believe Boulger was shot before he was let into the apartment by his brother late Monday.

Gary Boulger, who opened the door for his brother, said he noticed nothing wrong at the time, and he and a roommate reported hearing nothing suspicious during the night. , DataTimes
