Associated Press

Gov. Mike Lowry on Wednesday named Seattle lawyer Glenna Spitzer Hall to the King County Superior Court bench starting July 1.

Hall, 56, graduated from the University of Washington Law School in 1976 and has worked as a family practice lawyer for 18 years. Since 1990, she has served as a pro tem commissioner on the King County Family Law motions calendar, making decisions on custody, property division and child support matters.

Hall replaces retiring Judge James Noe. She will earn $99,015 annually and must stand for election this fall.
