Concerts Planned At Fourth Memorial
The walls of Fourth Memorial Church will reverberate with special music the next few weeks.
Randy Stonehill, one of the original artists in the contemporary Christian music field, will stage a concert at 6 p.m. Sunday at the church, 2000 N. Standard.
“The Lazarus Heart” tour, named after the artist’s 16th album, serves as a “potent union between Stonehill’s hope-filled message and a commercial pop medium,” a spokesman said. The Christ-centered album also features other artists, including Michael W. Smith, Gary Chapman, Christine Dente and Phil Keaggy. A love offering will be taken.
“Be Strong and Take Courage,” a concert by the Ambassador Choir from Multnomah Bible College and Biblical Seminary in Portland, will be presented at 7 p.m. Friday at the church. The choir blends the Bible and music in its concerts, performing a variety of choral classics and contemporary selections along with short dramas, said Miriam Gibby, director. The free program will be open to the public.
