Emily Deaver Honored At Post Falls High School
Emily Deaver, a Lifeskills Department employee of Post Falls High School, has been chosen as the educational support personnel (ESP) Employee of the Month for October.
Deaver, who also acts as the ESP chairperson representing the entire non-certified staff, was noted by her peers for having a positive, cheerful attitude, being a giving person and striving to treat students and staff in an equal and fair manner.
Mike Reardon, a member of the Idaho Transportation Department striping crew at the District 1 yard in Coeur d’Alene, recently placed in the top 20 in each of the six events at the four-day National Truck Roadeo Finals held in Colorado.
Reardon, one of nearly 70 participants from 10 states representing state and local agencies, placed 14th in the front-end loader competition. Scores for each event were based on a written test, driving skills and diagnostics.
The Idaho team has participated in the Roadeo for the past three years but has never taken any of the top awards before this year.
Reardon won the right to represent Idaho at the national finals after winning the statewide truck roadeo competition earlier this year.
Air Force Senior Airman Jennifer E. Walsh, has been deployed to the Arabian Gulf region in support of Operation Southern Watch/ Vigilant Warrior. It is a temporary tasking order production branch of the Joint Task Force-Southwest Asia.
Walsh, daughter of Julia and Ralph Capuano and wife of Thomas Walsh, is a security police specialist normally assigned to the 1st Security Police Squadron at Langley Air Force Base, Hampton, Va.
Her task force performs the Southern Watch mission of monitoring and controlling air space south of the 32nd parallel in southern Irag using air forces deployed by the U.S. Navy and Air Force, the United Kingdom’s Royal Air Force and the French Air Force. This allows coalition forces to safely ensure Iraqi compliance with a United Nations resolution prohibiting repression of Shiite Muslims in southern Iraq.
