Giving His All

Kelly Millard Of Spokane

Shannon Millard

My name is Kelly Millard. My husband Shannon is my everyday hero and here are a few of the many reasons why I think he surpasses Superman on the AWESOME scale.

Shannon is a firefighter for the city of Spokane. He loves working with the people of this community and giving 100 percent-plus to his job. He comes home from work, many days very tired, but always has a smile for the kids and me.

Shannon works very hard for our family in many different ways, rarely putting his needs first. He spends many of his days off helping others when they need extra hands. He has been completely supportive of my education and has often reassured me kindly when I worry that my being a student has financially burdened us. He says I do have an important job even if I’m not paid because being a mother and a student is hard work.

I love Shannon more than I can put into words. Suffice it to say that I think I am the luckiest woman alive and I thank the Lord every day for bringing us together.
