Lee Wilson, Arkansas’ only true center, has been suspended indefinitely for breaking a team rule, basketball coach Nolan Richardson said. … Left-hander Rick Honeycutt, at 42 the oldest player in the major leagues last year, will be back for another season after the St. Louis Cardinals exercised an option on his contract. Honeycutt was 2-1 with a 2.85 ERA in 61 games with the N.L. Central champions, all in short relief. … New York Mets pitcher Paul Wilson will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his right shoulder today to repair a small labrum tear, the team announced. Wilson, a right-handed starter, was 5-12 with a 5.38 ERA in 26 games this season.

Tiger Woods took care of a little unfinished business Monday night, accepting the Fred Haskins Award as the nation’s outstanding collegiate golfer.
