It’s A Roberts Hat Trick; Ducks Sign U-Hi Wrestler

Andy Roberts, two-time State AAA wrestling champion from University High School, followed his brothers and signed a letter of intent with the University of Oregon on Wednesday.

Roberts won state as a freshman (108 pounds) and a junior (129) and missed postseason as a sophomore with an injury.

Roberts’ brothers, Kevin and Dusty, also signed with Oregon out of University. Kevin graduated last spring as the second-winningest wrestler in Oregon history and a two-time All-American. Dusty, a two-time state champ at U-Hi, is a redshirt freshman starter at 142 pounds.

“We’re real excited to have Andy. We project him at 134 pounds next year and eventually 142,” Oregon assistant coach Chuck Kearney said.
