Kansas Man Robbed At Rest Stop
Kootenai County sheriff’s officials are looking for a robber who took money from a man standing at a rest stop urinal Tuesday night.
Samuel F. Patano, of Saiwa, Kan., had stopped at the Huetter rest area along the east-bound lanes of Interstate 90 about 8 p.m.
He was using the urinal when he heard someone come up behind him, according to a sheriff’s report.
Patano told deputies the robber pointed what he believes was a handgun at the base of his skull and said, “All right sucker, give me your money.”
Patano took his wallet from his pocket and removed more than $100, giving it to the robber, according to the report.
Patano heard the robber say “Let’s go” to someone else before he left.
Police searched the area but were not able to locate the robbers.
